CWA has periodically built and repaired furniture in support of the JPM needs.

CWA builds furniture and woodworking projects for sale at the One Special Christmas annual fundraising banquet. Proceeds of the auction are used to provide Christmas gifts for children in families who are economically distressed and otherwise could not afford Christmas gifts for their children.

For 2012, 20 items were donated and raised $3,465

CWA members trained over a hundred scouts so far allowing them to receive their Woodworking Merit Badge. CWA members conducted training for the Boy Scouts Centennial Carpenters Merit Badge which had not been offered by the Boy Scouts since 1947, but, for  the Boy Scouts Centennial Year celebration, CWA provided qualified instructors so that Scouts could earn this merit badge once again
CWA repaired easels for the Arts and Science Council that are used for the Charlotte Festival in the Park.
For the last 4 years CWA has maintained a booth at Matthews Alive, displaying items made by members, and demonstrating woodworking skills and techniques.
