Chris Gass is the instructor for the hand-cut dovetail class. The class is limited to 7 students.
Please bring the following tools to the class
1) Marking gauge
2) Bevel gauge
3) Small square or adjustable square
4) 3/8 bevel edge chisel very sharp
5) ½ bevel edge chisel very sharp
6) Soft normal pencil with an eraser and a sharpener if you have one
7) Dovetail saw or a Japanese pull saw with a back (we will be using 5/8 stock so
anything with 13 tpi or more will be fine
8) Coping or fret saw and bring an extra blade if you have one.
9) A mallet
You will be given pieces of wood all squared up and ready to layout. We will layout the size
of the dovetails by eye with a discussion of how big they will be given the chisel sizes we are using.
Cost of the class is $10.00 . Do not pay online. Bring you fee to the class and give to Chris.
