- How do I sign up for classes or open shop sessions?
- Members can RSVP for classes and shop time through our website’s event calendar. Some classes are free; others may have a small materials fee.
- What are “Learn and Build” projects?
- Our Learn and Build projects emphasize developing woodworking skills—such as joinery, shaping, and finishing—while allowing participants to complete a handcrafted project they’ll take home. Experienced woodworkers teach these sessions and combine both education and hands-on building.

- What kinds of presentations and workshops does CWA offer?
- CWA offers a wide range of expert-led presentations and workshops. Past topics include:
- Furniture Building – Windsor chairs, Shaker tables, workbenches, cabinets, and mantle clocks
- Turning & Carving – Bowl turning, spoon carving, peppermills, long-stemmed goblets, intarsia boxes, and power carving
- Tool Use & Maintenance – Saw blades, Jigs and router bits, “Easy Wood Tools” for turning, tuning wide boards, and bandsaw techniques
- Finishing & Design – Veneering, finishing techniques, and small shop setup
